What material do we teach?The material will be provided and depending on the student's goal it will range from books to oral topics to math or science contests/textbooks.

What types of questions are asked in the interview? What does the interview process look like? How long does it take?Types of questions asked: Ones to get to know you a bit more and to gauge your skills as a tutor. Interview Process: We will contact you once you apply (on our Tutoring page), schedule an interview through Zoom, and you will await your results within the next few days. Interview Time: Takes approximately 10 minutes (it is just a quick get to know you)

Through what app do we teach?Either Zoom or VooV.

How are classes run?1. Brief introduction 2. Review past homework 3. If it is the first class, dive into the material after the introduction 4. Refer to the shared document (in your email once you get accepted) for more details 5. Provide feedback/any homework at the end of class

How long are classes typically?Approximately 30 minutes.

How do we communicate with students?Through the app WeChat.

What notes or homework do we leave?Feedback on the student’s progress during that lesson & any homework necessary to supplement the lesson plan.

What does the feedback look like?- Audio recording - Vocabulary list - Specific things to review; eg pronunciation

Do I have to be qualified?We accept tutors from a wide range of skill levels. Just show us an eager attitude towards learning/teaching & responsibility, then we will provide you training to get you ready to teach!

Do we have to find our own students?You will be paired with a student that best fits your skill level and time by our club executives.

Are the teachers consistent or do they change every week?A teacher will be introduced with a document of their personal profile, and students will be paired to have classes with the same tutor every week.

How long are the lessons?Lessons are 30, 45 and 60 minutes long! They can be however long you would like.

How are the classes conducted?To support accessible education, classes are conducted virtually over Zoom and VooV meetings.

Where are the teachers from?Our teachers tutor from across the globe! Canada, America, & Dubai! Refer to Map

What type of material is covered?This depends on the things that you would like to learn. If your goal is... to improve reading and vocabulary skills,there is a wide selection of books for different levels along with practice questions and activities. we will help you practice and hone your skills through past mathematics/science contests or the North American cirriculumn.

Where does the money go?Every month, our tutors decide on an organization to donate to. So far, we’ve donated to Red Cross, Surrey Hospital Foundation, Operation Smile, YWCA!
